New to Sprearboard
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. My name is Larry, wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading some of your posts and I have to say some of the fish you guys bring in are impressive & humbling to say the least. Gained quite a bit of knowledge just from seeing how some of you guys do things, so thanks for sharing what you know. I live in Sarasota, and do most of my diving from there, and also Anna Maria. Look forward to contributing to the local spear community. If nothing else, I will at least try to do my 2 cents by providing a viz report for the local guys in my area.

Welcome Larry. I dive out of Sarasota as well. Do you freedive or scuba?

JBSRQ- I'm on the bottle bro. My lung power isn't what it used to be, could maybe get down 30 ft.

Re: New to Sprearboard
Welcome to the board Larry. I'm also in Sarasota, for now anyway. I dive and spear in Venice, the Sarasota bay bridges and artificials , and ledges on AMI (kayak and beach diving on scuba). I'm moving to Punta Gorda soon, but I'll probably continue diving the Sarasota area, at least until I learn spots south.

Slayfish
I don't do much free diving these days, mostly scuba- but 20-30 feet is would be in my wheelhouse so to speak. |
