Butt pad?
I have a 120cm gun that has no butt pad on the stock and its pretty uncomfortable and slips a lot when loading. Just a pain in the arss
What kind of material would be best for me to cut and adhere to the butt of the gun for some traction and Charmin softness? |

Re: Butt pad?
Guys use flip flops or rubber beaker stoppers... I was thinking of using my girlfriend's old roxy flip-flops, they're like 2" thick

Re: Butt pad?
Is it a wood gun or a standard euro? If wood, flipflops work great. IMO, anything thicker than 1/2" is overkill. I found some heavy duty sole material (3/8") at a shoe repair shop that works great too. If euro, you need to find an aftermarket pad made for your gun.

Re: Butt pad?
Nice.
Cheapest flipflops you can find, 5 minute epoxy (or crazy glue gel), Razor blade or sharp knife (or flush cut router bit) and your set. Good Luck!

Re: Butt pad?
A force per unit area problem. Bigger butt, or something semi-rigid to spread out the force.

Re: Butt pad?
Riffe makes them, JBL and ABBILLER also make them. The Riffe one is quite good and they have 2 types ... one for Euros and one for their standard.
