Capt Fred Kelly
For those that been diving for a long time in the panhandle you may have known Capt Fred Kelly back in the old days. He lived a full life and passed away recently.
He was the skipper of the Nancy-B out of Pensacola. Friday we took him out for the last time on the Wet Dream. Just wanted to thank Capt Gene and the crew. Couldn't have asked for a better way to let an old diver go in the sea he loved so much. It meant a lot to Nancy and family also. I will miss my dive buddy, Capt Fred Kelly.

Re: Capt Fred Kelly
Can't say as I knew him personally but I've heard many wonderful stories of his from people who did!
Glad to hear he had a good long life and glad to hear he's resting where you know he'd want to be! |

Re: Capt Fred Kelly
I dove with Captain Fred back in the "old days". He was a great guy, and one of the original Gulf coast divers that I looked up to. Was just telling Fred stories to a friend of mine last week.
