Pre-drilled holes in carbon blade cracking
I just picked up a pair of Meister sport carbon blades and wanted to glue them into some pathos foot pockets. Problem is they have been predrilled for other foot pockets. Since the pathos side rails don’t offer much support, should I be worried about the carbon blades being prone to cracking at that point? Is there anything I can do to reinforce the carbon? The holes haven't been drilled over the angle but it still leaves me a little worried. Cheers in advance fellas

Re: Holes in carbon blade?
Looks like I gotta put on my big boy pants and just glue them into some Pathos footpockets! If they break they break!

Re: Holes in carbon blade?
Depending on the quality of the carbon you should be fine.

Re: Holes in carbon blade?
you do not need to drill any carbon fins blade ..just glue those ( with the proper pro cyanoacrilate glue )

Re: Holes in carbon blade?
I agree z1... thank you for your contribution. Do you believe the pre drilled holes will be prone to cracking?

Re: Holes in carbon blade?
I don't think you will have a problem at all, those are well made blades and there shouldn't be much flex where those holes are located anyways.
