efficiency

We tried to run some buoys looking for cobia but didn't see any. My friend jumped in at 5 or 6. Gave up and decided to go look for tog and sheep. I spent a total of 2 or 3 minutes in the water. 1st dive saw a nice sheep and popped him... and his buddy! First time getting 2 sheeps on one spear. Have done it before with spades, but never sheep.

My friend shot a really big sheep ( he said 12lbs +) and it snapped my spear in half and got away.

Decided not to clean out any more sheep as still have some in the freezer. Winds picked up pretty good and decided to call it a short day.

The bigger sheep had parasites of some sort. Didn't look like the wormy things seaairland posted a pic of, but instead was a bunch of yellowish/white spheres dispersed throughout the flesh. I gave that one to a friend at the dock, he wasn't worried about it.

Re: efficiency

Reread my post on tidalfish- that's exactly what the parasites in the sheeps we shot a few weeks ago looked like. Not wormy, but almost like confetti throughout the entire filet. Never seen that in my life before this summer... weird stuff. Without getting specific, the only fish I've seen it in have been from the "first island vicinity," although it doesn't seem likely to me that parasites could be that regionally specific.

I forgot to give credit to a great gun. Shot these fish with a mako 90 predator pro. Blew right through 2 sheeps. Solid. Just got another mako, 70 single band. Hats off to a great gun and a great company.

The broken spear was an old 6.5 notched spear for an old omer I have.

I've had nothing but problems with omer. Not saying they are junk but............just stating my experience. Nice sheeps btw. I'm kicking around the idea of going tomm.
