Didn't mean to ignore you: yes, that was billy chinook. Good eye. Our bird season was great! Shot 10geese and 65 ducks, not counting upland (which is all ranch hunting so I dont count).

I was in Newport too. I dove the 3rd finger, ocean side. Was in the water around 11:45 am and out around 12:20 pm. The fog was nasty on Saturday so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see each other.

ahhhh.... I forgot that people spearfish on scuba. I've been wanting to do some scuba spearing, we should go out later on this summer if you've got time.
