Interest in Aluminum Speargun Barrels?

Hi guys,

We'll be bringing in a few different Rabitech "components" and was wondering the interest in such a thing.

1) 1.5mm Aircraft aluminum Barrel (e.g. Rabitech "Hunter" stocks) w/ integrated rail

2) 1.5mm Aircraft grade Ali w/ polymer rail attached

3) 2mm thick Aircraft Grade "Apex Tuna" barrel w/ integrated rail.

4) Rabitech Polymer Track

If there is enough interest we'll bring in more and hopefully bring costs down for those interested

Thank you !!

That would be sweet.I would like to put a 1.5 together with a integrated rail with a open muzzle and 2-16mm bands.Could you cut down the length on the barrel to make a shorter gun. Sounds like a great idea.

what are the prices as of now for the barrels and how easy is it to take the handle off an apex and slap it on the new barrel?

Re: Interest in Aluminum Speargun Barrels?

Hi guys, Great questions.

Stupidmunky3,
It is fairly easy to "take on and off" the barrels to "plug and play." Pricing to come

T2K,
I appreciate your input, we will definitely look into fair competitive price points. The Apex Tuna line barrel is extremely rigid and from what I understand at a full 2mm, it is the thickest aluminum barrel on the market.

Xris,
Due to its rigidity and thickness, I believe it would work fantastic in a hybrid. I will get more pictures up of the tuna barrel.

Cheers and thank you again,

Erik Sun

Re: Interest in Aluminum Speargun Barrels?

another question erik, although it doesn't seem there is much interest so I don't know if you'll be doing this. Are you going to be selling your new ultra hard shafts for the barrel? i don't know many places i can get a 190cm shaft. and i'm hoping you'll be able to ship out these to anywhere in the US.

Re: Interest in Aluminum Speargun Barrels?

Hello all,
i m new in z spearboard community but may be i could let you know some few from what i know about spearguns and specially because i have my own make and and know quite perfectly about the aluminum barrels. (and carbon)..
to my knowledge THE strongest and most perfect one is the one produce and selling by Tony heugh in AUS under the make ~~EDGE spearguns~~
they are 1.8 mm wall but with an 28.4 mm ID and a FULL rail built in the aluminum = i mean not a rail that is glue or stick on a barrel .so this give a better strengh to the barrel.
i had often built barrels in lenght 1.5 M and some few 1.6 M and even 1 off 1.7 M barrel with a spear lenght of 2.2M .!!!

about spears lenght..here in french polynesia we are having lots from 1.9M
and some 2.0 M as well ..2.1M and up are rare.
and the bests are made also in south africa ..

sorry for z english language mistakes in case ..i`m a frenchee..

A bientot B RGDS Marco
