imput on a wrist computer

I want to get a pressure integrated wrist computer. Do you have any suggestions on an inexpensive model? Pros and cons to certain models? Thanx. Donk.

Re: imput on a wrist computer

Donkey I bought an Oceanic VT3 for a steal of a deal and was extremely excited about it. Then it came to put theory into practice and the wireless link just cannot be counted on.

Every dive I've taken with the computer has been a huge issue, a permanently lost link, and an aborted dive.

Whats the point of wireless air integrated if I still need a redundant spg on a wire?

But if you want to try your own luck I have the Oceanic VT3 and transmitter matched with an Oceanic Delta 4 FDX10 that I could sell you used for a good price, pm me.

agreed

why trust something as important as tank pressure to an electronic device? although it would be cool to use on a pony.

i've been diving the Uwatec Aladin Prime

nice features, simple navigation

not sure on the price...

I've been using the Suunto Vytec for several years now and haven't had a problem yet. I just make sure to link up the computer & transmitter before each dive.
I've never lost a signal while diving. I have forgot to link it up first, but then I just use my SPG.

suunto is pretty conservative as far as computers go from what i've heard.

not that its a bad thing depending on your type of diving.

I've heard the same thing. I just use the Suunto Mosquito (no wireless link), but it works well for me. I love that I have a safety margin that I try not to use.

You still need an air pressure gauge, but you can just jam it in a BC pocket or somehow get it out of the way.

One consideration: a compass is something I use on nearly all my dives because I'd get completely lost otherwise. You don't want to drive around with me, I once forgot how to go home ---- months after moving in.
