Trying out Spearfishing
Hi, I am 14 years old and i have only gone spearfishing once in cancun. I caught nothing. I have a Jbl Carbine one sling. i also have a wetsuit, fins, stringer, mask and snorkel, knife, and no experience. i want to know where in san diego california i can do a shore entry dive with only that gear. One more thing, since i am the only one that has the gear and wants to dive, i will be alone.
your help will be greatly appreciated. thank you |

Re: Trying out Spearfishing
There are many options in San Diego, but I would suggest going down to Childrens Pool in La Jolla on a weekend and meet some fellow divers. They can teach you the ropes and it is a great place to enter the water without getting hit by surf.

Hit up the CA forum. I'm sure one of the SD guys is willing to take you under their wing.
