Re: Spearfishing Video Thread
Does anyone know how to find the video of the guy in Hawaii that has an Ulua almost bite his hand, then he shoots it point blank, it breaks his flopper and gets away. Then he swims it down and stones it with a bent shaft? Best video ever. Period. (Perrin's and Dam's, are always good too)
Here is another good one... RICCIOLA ENORME 70 KG, HUGE AMBERJACK SERIOLA DA RECORD - YouTube |

Re: Spearfishing Video Thread
^^ What?! Did it stone itself? That's hilarious!
Why did the fish freak and charge? Do they normally go for the hand? BTW this is my new favorite thread! Sorry Behslayer..

Re: Spearfishing Video Thread
From what I understand, waving the hand like that just attracts the fish a little closer, especially with a white glove like the guy had.. That fish just got a little too excited.

Ulua (Giant trevally) can be arseholes. Like stated before he baited it in using his hand. I've heard of them hitting boat motors as well. Cool Fish!!!!

Re: Spearfishing Video Thread
Someone posted a video this year in Mexico shooting yellowtail and pargo that I have not been able to find again but really enjoyed it.
Hybrid speargun with go pro mounted sideways Green wetsuit, yazbeck? Upbeat "Carlos Santana" ish music A lot of thumb shots From what I remember the whole beginning of the vid was taking shots and the end was retrieving fish. A lot of sideways looking video. It was pretty unique and not easy to explain but maybe the creator see's this or someone knows what I'm talking about. |
