San Diego this Saturday
Hey everyone, I want to dive. And I was invited to a boat that I don't think my dad will let me go on because the captain is too young for him to let me(if you read this thank you for the offer though). And my main dive buddy is going out with him so I was curious if anyone else might want to go this Saturday?

Haha, I'm sorry Bill. I would go out with every last one of you if I could but until im 18, it's my parents that get to decide if I can go out with people they don't know.

None! Which is a major problem that I am trying to make a compromise with them. Like maybe they talk to the boat owner so they don't feel like they are letting me loose with a complete "danger-stranger".

Well, if being a Christian is a prerequisite, I wouldn't pass the test. I'm just a heathen who treats everyone horribly.

Bill, if it makes you feel better, my wife doesn't care if you're a dirty old man. She just won't let me go out on your boat because she know's I'll come home wanting one of them fancy Hawaiian spearguns...

Re: San Diego this Saturday
His parents wouldn't let him dive with me and I'm the only other diver that goes out as much. And the main reason why they wouldnt let him go out with me is because for some reason I would be more his friend then his older brothers or something stupid like that. Happy I'll have my mom call your dad and she will talk your dad into it. I want you to go out it seems like its going to be so fun.

Don't think that you turning 18 is gonna change the way your parents treat you. I can bet you that the trend will continue even after you have turned 18.

Yeah, things only start to change after you move out and get a job.
