Question - Cutting the track on my first gun build
Hey everyone, I'm working on my first gun build here and I'm just about ready to cut the mech pocket and then the track. I'm having trouble deciding what diameter to cut the track. I've researched a good bit and all I've found so far is some people use a 3/8" round nose router bit, but I don't know if thats final or if they are planning to go back after it with a graphite filling then re-route. 3/8" would be 9.5mm, and considering that I'm going to be using a 7mm (maybe 7.5) shaft, that seems like a lot of room on either side but maybe I'm wrong. I'm planning to do a straight wood track, no graphite or UHMW. I'm not sure how much of that gap will be taken away when I do my final epoxy coats but any advice here is much appreciated! Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks, Henri |

Re: Question - Cutting the track on my first gun build
are you going with enclosed track ?if not I am using same Behslayer , 8 mm // 5/16" round long nose bit for 7/7.5 mm spears ,usually track deep will be very shallow (1.5 mm) so I can use both shark fin/ notch spear (cause shark fin very expensive in my area ) ,
