opinions on the mako dive light...real world/ hands on-- if possible!!

im looking at the mako comparing it to the eled sl4 from uk. thats what most of my buddys use but i want to be able to use it for my biller 54". any and all suggestions, but im not interested in that cheapie china 1600lumen atrocity. I dont mind the cr123a batteries but the c's are much easier to get. Im a scuba diver, no freediving and the wrist mount is a nice idea but ive not used one yet. Thanks!

i understand that the eled is 400 lm compared to 680 or so for the mako....but really want real world true usage.

I have used the new model several times now, mounted to my gun, & it has worked great for me. The narrower beam really penetrates dark areas well & the on/off switch is easy to use with gloves. Good luck. T

Buy one, I love mine. At the VERY worst you have a low cost back up. Narrow beam a non issue as long as you're not trying to illuminate a cave for a camera shoot.
