Need advice for paint touchup

Hi,
I purchased a homemade bluewater gun last year. Now I have made a few modifications to it, including straightening the track. The gun also have quite a few boat rash.
I want to do a touch up paint job but I am a complete beginner. I have absolutely no clue what type of paint I should use. Any advice? Keep in mind I want to keep it as simple as possible. Thanks.

The gun is made with padauk. Here is a couple of pictures :

Re: Need advice for paint touchup

mask tape around the area need to be touch up to protect other parts from paint or sanding ,sand the area with 80/120 sand paper ,feather the existing paint in sides of repair area ,clean with thinner the sanded area ,I think u can use epoxy mix with blue dye matching the existing color ,apply first thin layer with epoxy ,second ,third ,just sand between coat layer by 220 sand and clean by thinner ,last coat or 2 coat by any clear exterior coat with UV protection ,guys here will give more better solution if they answer you

Thanks. I think I'll go with that. I have an epoxy here that I use with cloth to make fiberglass. I guess it will do. Just need to find blue dye.

Re: Need advice for paint touchup

you can find a number of blue pigment powders on amazon. various hobbyists usr them with epoxy so you should have enough choice to find something that matches the blue you have
