Recent Underwater Images
As some of you know, since I've been out of the Marine Corps, I've been attending the Visual Journalism program at Brooks Institute of Photography up in Ventura. I recently took a break from my usual photojournalism classes, and took the Undersea Photography elective from the still photography program. We spent five weeks on the Truth out of Santa Barbara. Most of the trips were to Anacapa/Santa Cruz, but we did one five day trip to San Clemente/Santa Barbara. I couldn't plan a better college class if I tried! Dive all day, drink all night, meet cool people who love the ocean and get some hunting in on the side. One morning at Clemente, before anyone got up, I hopped in the water with my Wong Ono gun and my longblades. By the time everyone else was up drinking coffee and slowly getting suited up, I was hoisting two Yellowtail on the swim step! Needless to say, all the newby-scuby PADI geeks were freaking out! I got the usual slew of questions......and accusations. Everyone seemed to shut up when I fed the whole boat fresh sashimi. Enjoy the images.

Re: Recent Underwater Images
Thanks fellas! For U/W work, I use a Canon 20D in an Ikelite Housing. For strobes I use an Ikelite DS50 and an Ikelite DS125, both mounted on 16" & 12" Ultralight arms. The camera and the strobes are all set to manual mode. I would have liked to get a Subal housing, but the dive shop I used to manage was an Ikelite dealer, so I got a killer deal on the housing that I just couldn't pass up.
