Introducing Precision Dive Products: Spearo Backpack
Hey gang... I'm sure many of you can relate to how awkward it can be to get all of our necessary gear to and from the beach or boat. When dealing with bluffs & cliffs it can be down right dangerous to be climbing around wet & slippery conditions. When a boat load of spearo's have limited space, gear can easily become thrown about creating a hectic mess as the day moves on as well. After looking around at what other companies offer for transport/bag solutions I couldn't help but see an opportunity.
I have been designing and developing technical apparel for the past 10 years, much of which has been focused on bags. Fast forward to now... A project that has been almost a year in the works is in the home stretch. The Spearo backpack has been designed to address the needs of a spearo going from home to the beach or boat. Here's a sneak peak...

Re: Introducing Precision Dive Products: Spearo Backpack
Ryan-
Just a constructive comment - I have had the misfortunate of having even cheap items (t-shirts, ratty old sun hats) stolen when I have left them on the beach or riverbank to go diving after hiking a long ways. Even in areas I thought were remote. Humanity sucks sometimes. If a 5 year-old t-shirt is desirable to a thief, this will be a jackpot. I really hope this is affordable enough to lose... That said, it looks very well-made and thought-out. Good luck.

Maybe he could make it water proof with and anchor pouch so you could drag it out 30 feet from shore and anchor it. Someone's going to really want your stuff to jump in the water and check it out. But like you said, sometimes people do bad stuff.

Even if I don't take it to the beach, looks nice to load everything up and get it to the car or a buddies car. Instead of making several trips.

Wow, Very nice!
How about throwing a camo pattern on it. WHen you stash it in the bushes, a bit more hidden

Or just make it water proof and streamlined with a fair amount of buoyancy and it could used as a float on those shore dives. |

Re: Introducing Precision Dive Products: Spearo Backpack
The theft issue is one I haven't come up with a design solution for quite yet...doh! Not much I can think of besides massive social reform and brainwashing thieves. That will always be an issue unfortunately huh.
Either way, it does a great job of transporting all the necessary gear in a hands free package wherever you're going. The design on this one is complete and production is due to be available about early April. I do have other products that will be coming down the pipeline in the future...this is just the 1st step. I appreciate everyone's feedback... it has fueled the development of this project and will certainly be the starting place for a more well rounded line-up to come. Our intention is to build purpose specific products for our sport. I hope everyone likes it once they arrive.

Turn it into a boogie board and im sure you will sell a ton. I would buy one but am sure it would get stolen eventually.

More constructive advice - not so hot on the foam backpads. They absorb water... & funky smells.
