Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Newport was pretty dirty with pretty big swell. Vis averaged about 5'. Lots of bait and small scup. Saw one nice bass and some schoolies. Shot a tog and a scup.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
I was on the outside around noon time, two divers, 20ft walkaround. Although it was probably calm enough to get a jon boat out to the island!

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Had nice dive this morning at Watch Hill on incoming tide. Visibility was mixed from 8ft on current to 20ft in calm spots. Heavy current. Saw shitload of big Bonitos chasing bait, didn't have a luck to shoot any. They fast as torpedos! Got scup and triggers. Like the spot.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
"Saw shitload of big Bonitos" Those guys are fast, alert, and tough.
I'll see them, only for a moment, make a glancing eye contact and they're gone. poof! Then I wonder if I actually saw them, or just imagined it. All I remember is the silver football. |

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Surprisingly good time at weatherhill yesterday. The surf is way up and that was the only place I could think of to not got broken just getting In. Pretty hazy averaging ~3-4 ft vis opened up to 6 in some pockets. Managed 3 tog but my stringer broke and a lost the biggest. Saw a big school of scup, a few 20+ bass and possibly a trigger or a scupzilla

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Had a nice dive at Jamestown today afternoon (on low tide). The water was surprisingly clean and calm all the way to the bottom! Limited on togs.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Has anyone checked the visibility today in Newport or elsewhere in Rhode Island? With all the waves on Wednesday, it must be murky, but would be grateful for any updates. Thank you.
