Re: Build Thread - 52 midhandle
Taking a break for a little bit. Want to know Im 100% on my shape before I commit to epoxy. Still dont know what direction I want to take my inlay, but Im going to put a medium or large one in front of the reel. Lot of real estate there to utilize. Cant seem to take pictures that do this thing justice.

Re: Build Thread - 52 midhandle
I like the blue grip handle. Try some photos with the gun horizontal and 3/4 views along the stock to display the lines of the gun, both from the front and the rear. You can dangle it on mono loops from an overhead using the band anchor slot and the mechanism slot with a T-bar.

Salvimar was the budget option. I got this build done remarkably cheap. Found a local teak wholesaler one of the largest in the US and the owner let me walk through and grab material for cheap. The exotics I also got for a steal. This whole build is maybe $400.00 |

Re: Build Thread - 52 midhandle
Put that reel on your 42 and go work some corners for the matching aussie.

Id need to get my hands on one to see how it mounts. The 42 has the riffe low profile reel mounted on it. That reel is needlessly expensive. I cant believe I spent $200 on that piece of shit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Makes no sense to build a gun to the best of my ability and put a cheap reel on it. Im going to slap this Salvimar on a 36" midhandle holegun made of teak. Going to sell that one so i stop getting crucified over this hobby. |
