Locations in Mexico
My wife and I are doing the resort thing in Mexico. We dont have a specific location in Mexico picked and I am going to do a day of spearfishing so I would like to go somewhere that would be good for diving. Can anyone make suggestions as to a location that is good for resorts and good for diving?

Re: Locations in Mexico
I've been to palapas. Thanks for the reply, I'm talking more of the big resorts. We have a trip booked threw Apple but we are going to be moving it as the rest of the family can't go now.

Puerto Escondido, Mexico Great city, monster waves, excellent diving up the coast at Roca Blanca.

Re: Locations in Mexico
I know that going to Mexico for a tourist type vacation might not be the best for diving but if I'm there I figure I'd like to try to get in a bit. Thanks for the suggestions

Re: Locations in Mexico
I've dove in Punta Mita with Spearmex PM. Had a great time every time. I've only reef dived which was fun. They also offer blue water hunting. They offer all inclusive stay. However we stayed in Sayulita. Nice little town great surf. Punta de Mita also has some great surfing.

Re: Locations in Mexico
You may get into YellowFin at Punta Mita. And you can practice your Spanish!

Re: Locations in Mexico
punta mita with wifey, she will be stoked if you take her to the st regis, she'll never want to leave.. nor will you. huatulco is also killer. ixtapa/zihuat is ok. the variety of diving though at punta de mita can't be beat however. some decent surf around there summertime too.
