Not my video so I can't say for sure. If I had to guess I'd say no given the big plating montipora corals and what looks like a niger trigger in the beginning of the video. If my assumptions are right then this would be somewhere in the Pacific.

A fellow aquarist perhaps?

Id agree with your assumptions.

Cool video. Glad the guy and the shark are okay.

Re: Another Bad Shark...

I'd probably shart my wetsuit if this happened.

I've been fortunate enough to not have any encounters like these with sharks. I always think about them when I am hanging around in murkier water doing a safety stop.

The only time I have had aggressive encounters with them is when they are going after my fish but have never really had them focus on me. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Re: Another Bad Shark...

Looks like a tiger to me. I have seen more and more of these over the last 5 years or so. If i fish the same place for two dives, I usually have one hanging around. They usually bite at my gun like that if I push them away with my spear.
I feel like people give up their catch when they see a big shark investigating and it teaches the sharks to associate divers with food......not good.
We have been diving one spot and moving on to another and have had no issues.

Don't ever come out diving with us or you WILL encounter them - LOL. I can pretty much guarantee it.

If you have them coming after you and not the fish on a regular basis... then yes... I definitely have no desire to dive with you at all... ever.

I see them, and have had them come after my fish... just never had them come after me... hope to keep it that way.

Slip on power heads are handy for the sporty ones that somebody has been feeding.

It was biting at the speargun on its head. If you believe the shark to be stupid then perhaps you should stay out of the water.
