Funny though because I think' if I remember correctly, they closed on June 01 and never re-opened in 2016.

I got 7 last year. There were 1,000 last week on 4 artificial reefs we were diving on out of Tarpon Springs. Those fish counters got it dialed in. They are so smart and know everything. Talk about government waste.

Re: Amberjack closeing

Just google FB-017 for details. We're going out Wednesday for our 1/each for fish dip and smoked AJ. Here's some general info. A 34" AJ weighs approx. 20#. A 48" AJ weighs approx. 50#. You would think with all the high winds and fronts that have come thru. The season would of been longer.

Re: Amberjack closeing

Gaaahhhhh!!! This is rediculous!!! How's a guy supposed to win the Florida Spearfishing tournament if they close AJ's!!!! Not even 3 months!!!! This is about as bad as ARS!!! With all of the fronts coming through... We had maybe 5 weekends that were good for the average boat to run out in....

Re: Amberjack closeing

one of the reasons im leaning either albermarle or bertram for my next boat so I have more boating day options if the weathers not perfect.
