Neither Rain Nor Broken Down Vehicle Nor... Holy Spear-It MG Report

i'm still 27 hrs behind on sleep so this will be short and sweet for now. jose my co-captain for the weekend was on the way home from the keys in a brand new rented 2005 durango that broke down in punta gorda when peter lim and his crew showed up to the boat. finally the rental company sent a van to pick him up and deliver him to the boat at 9:30 pm. thanks guys for being patient and having a good attitude. we were about to pull out when the coast guard issues a severe thunderstorm warning for the st. pete coastal area. GREAT! let's give this thing a few minutes and see what happens. by 10pm we are out the pass. this was not my intended departure and i was going to have to start in the south end of the grounds instead of the north end where i wanted to be. after the first two drops i'm reasurred once again that all things work together for the good.

thank you glenn, david, rob, peter, mike, and tom for a great trip. see you next time.

capt. ben

mike shoots a nice fire truck that had already taken one to the head a long time ago.

robs first time hook and line fishing in the Gulf. it's hard to go to sleep when the mangos and gags are chewing off the bottom of the boat!

i think robs going to buy a fishing pole for the next trip.

catch and release tiger. i figure i'd tramatize this one while it was young so it has an unrelentless resolve to harass every diver for the rest of it's life. remember folks sharks are friends and you are the food!

yellowfin... notice the yellow edge around the pectorial fin. the redish tint on its back and the square tail. that's a very cool fish. a true trophy.

Cool pics and trip Ben. I was out on the Hubbards trip on Wed. and a young lady landed a tiger a little bigger than the one you released. They must be out there .
