Fat guy wetsuit?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new wetsuit and I'm finding that many of the dive shops around (Sports Chalet) don't carry my size. I'm 6'1" and 250 lbs. It seems that they make em in my size, just most dive shops don't carry them. Any suggestions on where I can go to try em on before I buy? I don't really want a custom one as they typically cost $$$. And, while I'm not poor I do not see the need to get a custom one made when they make one of the rack that should fit. Any help would be appreciated.

Cya,

jr

You can get a custom from http://www.diveskin.net for $200. Just be aware of the old saying, "You get what you pay for"

I'm 6'6", 250# and am happy with my diveskin.net 7mm suit. Next one I get, I'll have Spiros sneak a bottle of good Greek Ouzo in with it

Try the USA Scuba store in Oceanside. My buddy (5'10" 290 lbs.) got a great suit there off the rack.

JMJ..

I am 6'7 250 and I could NEVER find a off the rack suit to fit. I checked surf shops and dive shops and used sports places. Nothing. JMJ measures you and makes a killer suit and the price is close to something off the rack and its totally custom.

Another vote for JMJ. You will get a suit that fits perfectly for little more than an off-the-rack suit that doesn't fit very well at all.

Im about your size, and have found the Piccaso suits in size 58 to be a good fit. Less than 300$ over the net.
