Nice Bug Limits on the Final Day

...The run over was a little rough but, conditions leveled out on the inside and over the next few hours. Dark was much later but, only 2 sets of the gear were necessary to catch nice limits before mid-nite, with half in the 2 to 4 lb range.
...It was surprising that no F&W officers were there to insure limits were within the law. Also surprising, was only 3 other boats in sight; all grouped together, at the island hooping. Often, by the end of the season, guys are stocked up and are busy getting their boats and gear ready for the upcoming gamefish migration.
...End of the season is a good time for a final run, with little competition on the grounds and perhaps; a new batch of bugs refilling the caves and holes vacated by their fallen brethren...The bugs were definitely larger than the previous weeks' catches...vis is improving and if no storms hit, big fish will soon be within range ...
...Of course, upon the return to shore, the reports started coming in of a good morning yellowtail run at the island, with hook and line guys doing well. Some yellows were in the 30 lb. range with one weighing in at 45 lbs!... Now that the freezer is stocked with rockfish and bugs, I can focus on rigging my old trusty long gun...Gotta love combo trips where you can always bring something home after spending $200 on fuel..Now, where can I find a wsb?...I want to land a wsb!...……..

Only 45 minutes after calling them Fish and Game? Henceforth, they shall be properly known as Fish and Wildlife, their correct title...then, you will be done in 10 minutes.....contempt of cop again?.....

Re: Nice Bug Limits on the Final Day

I was in the water and didn't have to deal with them. My buddies on the boat were given the full treatment including rectal exams just in case they were hiding any bugs...

Re: Nice Bug Limits on the Final Day

We found the last day of the season to be quite nice also, calm seas, good visibility, and plenty of bugs. Only saw DFG one time during the entire season ; and that was on opening day. Total season was one of the better season in 45 years.

No further Videos due to lack of interest/comments on this board.

Don't forget to report your season results to DFG agency,

Maybe I should stop calling them DFG....I get a little warm and fuzzy when I say it that way.

If not for SpearBoard, where will he post his videos to get more attention?

Re: Nice Bug Limits on the Final Day

Scuba Fever, I enjoy your U/W video and appreciate the effort it takes to publish some fine footage. I look forward to seeing some Halibut sneak attacks this summer. Cheers, Kadman
