Custom 135cm compound roller
I custom built this gun for myself and have decided to sell it. It's a great gun to shoot, super smooth with no recoil at all. It is made from purple heart and mahogany with neptonics hardware. I have taken it on one trip just to make sure it does the job, other than that it is brand new. It did get one small ding on the top of the gun during that trip bit it's hardly noticeable.
Specs are:
The shaft pictured is not the shaft that comes with the gun, it has since been upgraded to the riffe double flopper. $1300 + free shipping to the USA Message me with any questions I'm happy to answer them. Thanks, Henri |

Re: Custom 135cm compound roller
Good looking gun, what would you say the range, is this a blue water gun for medium sized tuna or bigger, I'm not too familiar with roller guns? When it's time to change bands, do I make them myself or can I order off a site easy?
Thanks Dave |

Re: Custom 135cm compound roller
On the one trip I used the gun I shot some snapper at probably 15ft no problem. I built this gun with wahoo and smaller tuna in mind. I don't know if it would be up the task for to a really huge yellowfin/bluefin unless you're nice and close of course. People kill marlin with pole spears so theres that whole conversation to be had. Just comes down to range and accuracy.
As far as the bands, the easiest thing to do would probably be to just contact me and let me build you some. Most of the bands are typical constriction knotted bands, but the two roller bands are threaded with dyneema to prevent overstretch. Pretty tricky to make if you've never done it. |
