All About Pole Spears & Slings What is it about that traditional method of the early hunter/gatherers under the water? These devices are indeed interesting and effective. |

Keller Guide Spear Question
Hi, does anyone have any info on the band diameter and length on a Keller guide spear? I have one and the band broke but am not as familiar with pole spear power.
thank you! JB |

Re: Keller Guide Spear Question
Any rubber you can get your hands on can work just fine. Personally on my keller guide spear I use a 3/4 inch band cut roughly longer than the original.
My suggestion is buy a tad more than you think you will need and the "lash" (meaning to tie it down without making permanent) the band to the pole and hand stretch it up to the grip to figure out exactly how much stretch you desire. Then mark and cut the band to length, taking into consideration that wishbone material will need to be a factored for.

Re: Keller Guide Spear Question
32"-34" total length 1/2"od x 1/4"id Min. 9/16"od x 5/16"id same length will make it pop.
