Advice on good spear fishing for novice in keys

I will be traveling to Southern Florida/ Keys in February or March. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for an outfit to spearfish with. Was hoping to combine a spearfish/line fish trip for 3-4 days. I am new to the sport and have been 10-15 times and have my own gear. Thanks in advance for any advice

Check out Dibs on Bottom Adventures out of Key West. He will work hard to put you on fish. Capt. Arorn is extremely knowledgeable and wise beyond his years. https://www.dibsonbottomkeywest.com

How about in marathon. Two divers in late jan early feb at joe island. One new diver and one experienced. Neither of us has ever spear fished but plan on trying. We also need a shop for fills.

Give Capt Mike Theut a call at (305) 900-8240
He runs Lower Keys Adventure Charters. He has two boats that he runs depending on what you are after and how you want to dive. Very reasonably priced.

Capt Harlan Trammel is another great option. This salty old dog knows his stuff. Great handmade skiff with glass panels that he built himself. Also runs a SeaVee. (305) 394-7400

Both out of Big Pine and both I can highly recommend.

Are you asking for an outfit? to go fishing in? I am confused haha

In terms of advice, I recommend sticking to Atlantic side (Higher visibility, fewer sharks sneaking up on you) and the more south you go, the more fish there is.
