Saving Swami's and North County Parks

This Wednesday at 6PM the Encinitas City Council is reviewing an agenda item which may set precedent to rezone "medium activity" parks and beaches for large private for-profit mult-day events. This is inconsistent with the management laid out by the Encinitas General Plan. (community constitution)

Basically, the people of the community want access to our smaller beaches and parks versus loud music blaring during multi-day at for-profit events. The first particular event is from a Solana Beach resident looking to have a surfing and vendor booth event at Swami's beach, parking lot, park, and K Street. As you can imagine, the residents to the South and SRF do not want the event or the rezoning for other events.
