Gone to Baja trip report 4-8-10
Went down the day after the earthquake. Roads are fixed and passable all the way to Puertecitos. Bridges are in great condition and any large cracks and lumps are fixed.
Conditions: Day 1 15 ft vis off shore. Good diving, didnt see anything over 5 lbs so I just got wet. Shot one trigger fish to get the fillet table rolling. Day 2-3 and Im getting the hell outta here. WIND STEADY FROM THE NORTH 20-30 WITH GUSTS TO 60 Got to witness a palapa that was made out of a telephone pole and 18' wide get pulled out of the ground like a cocktail umbrella. Almost smashed a bunch of people. Never seen a Palapa fly until that moment. Once the water looked like milk chocolate all the way to the horizon as far as I could see I decided to head home. Just like Baja to remind me who is in charge. Left yesterday. Got a call from Naty today, he told me that the wind went flat after I left ......Fuc&ing wind....

Thnx for the report Dale.
Looks like we lucked out and beat the bad weather by a day. It was (sorry about that) nice and calm for the three days we were there. But it was blowing like a witch the week before, i hear.
