Re: Ponce Vis

It was what Jimmy said minus 5ft. on site four. Dropped on the bridge rubble and could barely make out the end of my gun. Trying again in the A.M.

Re: Ponce Vis

Thanks everyone for the report...ended up just trolling b/c both my h/l buddies (that dont dive, but i trust topside when im down) bailed last minute on me. my first time trolling blue water and had another non fishing(beer-drinking only) buddy and his girlfriend go along simply for the ride. Quite frustrating honestly, but did manage to boat 5 doldhin, two of which were 38 inches (20lbish?). frustrating part..first hit on trolling weighted naked ballyhoo....fought and got huge wahoo to boat, only to pull hook when i leadered it. near the end of the day, got the biggest bull of the day to the stern, rod in one hand, gaff in the other...handed rod to buddy, while i gaffed, and he dropped the rod! breaking two eyes on it and the fished thrashed free!...im still sick...lost biggest fish, couldnt dive, and had no one to help me fish or split expenses, but i know it could be worse!
