Re: Ponce 8-20
TJ-
Thanks for the report. Sounds like you got your money's worth. I'm excited to go tomorrow. Will post tomorrow night. Just saw the fish... real nice!! Think we're heading for bugs tomorrow. Had it real bad for mini and my one other trip. Looking VERY forward to nice conditions to really get after them tomorrow. But yeah, real nice fish. How big was the grouper? The mangs are studs too! Wherever you were diving, thats a spot worth hanging on to! Last edited by G@tor B@it; 08-20-2010 at 08:52 PM. |

Re: Ponce 8-20
Had something very wierd happen today at about 60' the lights turned out and you couldn't see 5 inches in front of you all the way to 100' hit bottom started to come up and started to see clear ledge. whatever it was you could feel it all over you like scales or something it was thick. It moved through as we got down there and I stayed on the outside of it moving slowly down the ledge. Anyone know or been in something like that before?

Re: Ponce 8-20
I shot all the mangos except for the baby on the end. Those guys new the drill and its hard to get them good shots when the big ones are darting in and out. To top it off that black belly should of been mine but I was too impatient. I look under a ledge saw one half that size took my light off him went back in gun in light together and he darted out of there and fogged the hole out. I decided to go try to get this slipper I saw right next to an eel and got the slipper came back to see if it cleared out and from 40' I can see a black belly on neils stringer. O well we both got a gag and Neil got to rub in the fact he shot the bigger one. nice job buddy.
