8/21 SC Report

Went with my old man out of Charleston on Saturday, had a great day. Second drop ran into a school of cobia just hanging around the reef. Tally for the day was 2 cobia, 2 lobster, 2 gags, and 2 hogs.

Will be back in Jax in a few weeks, this was my first day of nitrox diving, and the payoff was immediate.

Excellent bug and shot placements on the fish. Yes if you go deeper than 60 ft, nitrox cuts down surface intervals way down.

Where did you get nitrox fills in Charleston?

Asking cause Charleston dive center told me they only fill tanks that they've O2 cleaned....

Guy my father used to dive with at the shipyard, lives on James Island. Can get you his contact info if you want it. He runs fossil diving charters in the Cooper.

What do you have in mind... I think a road trip is in order next spring for at least a few weeks.

SEE the fish and bugs.....

The day before our departure is when Chr dive center told me this and their rental was 19$ per tk. This is why I canceled back in June.

Do ya believe me now?
