Newbie saying hi...

Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself as a new member and new to spearfishing. I was certified last year and began diving with my husband (slusher11)....really loving it and just got my first speargun last week (it's pink and fits my personality - thank you Rob, headhunter561). We are diving in the Keys right now and had a great day on the boat (shcubasteve is with us). Conditions were a bit rough (3-4's with an occasional 5), vis was 20-30, 82 degrees.

I speared my first fish today!!...a nice grey snapper..as seen in my pic We got a total of 7 fish (6 snappers, 1 grouper, 1 hogfish and 1 lobster)...Going out again tomorrow, hope to have more good stories!

Re: Newbie saying hi...

Thanks everyone! I'm excited to be part of this community!! We had a pretty good day today. Seas were calmer, in the 2-3ft, 30ft vis, 82degrees.

I shot a Hog and my husband got 2 hog's. Saw some nice groupers but we didn't manage to get them on the boat

Rob - we are leaving tomorrow unfortunately...have to go back to work Friday But we left about 5 black grouper on the numbers you gave us!
