Angry Mother Nature Just Kicked my butt

As some of you guys now, last month my family moved to flagstaff.
Wednesday morning mother nature taught me a hard lesson....that she is always in control. My home was hit directly by one of the 4 tornadoes that hit northern arizona.
This was the view from my home office on tuesday:

This is the same view out of my office today:

This is the front of our house on tuesday:

Here is the front now:

My poor truck paid off two weeks ago...now with my neighbors garage door thru it.

Basically we lost everything we own...insurance will cover the house, but everything in it is not covered.....oh well its just material possessions....
The tornado ripped out and tossed all our stuff over hundreds of yards in the woods...also my roof was completely taken...it was later found almost in tact 1/4 mile away in the forest. Unfortunately what the tornado didn't take, the golf size hail and day long monsoon style rains ruined.
That being said we were lucky to come out with only a couple of minor injuries we ended up riding the twister out in the upstairs bedroom(not cause of choice....we were trapped). Here is the bed we were my wife, 11&2 yr old, and I rode the twister out.

Well at least we made national news:

This sucks...first tornado to damage a home in northern arizona in 40 yrs...and it hits my home dead on destroying it along with my two cars...I am not a happy camper...at least my guns survived in my safes.

Glad you and your family are ok. My bro drives for FedEx from Kingman to Hollbrook, and just missed one of those twisters on I40. He sent me this picture of a train it tossed.

Oh no, that's a real shame, what a beautiful house. Glad everyone's okay...Houses can be re-built, cars can be replaced, family members cant be. By the condition of that bedroom, consider yourself lucky.

A beautiful place to live. Except for that not so common incident. Glad everyone is safe. Hope all goes well with the rebuild.
