Palos Verdes Conditions (I'm famous ...Sort of)

Two SCUBA divers dove North Palos Verdes today. Surface Conditions were so flat and calm despite misty-rainy weather that we decided to brave the shallows with the super thick kelp. With the overcast skies and thick kelp it was literally like making a NIGHT DIVE. Great visability and almost no surge produced two limits after lots of kelp entanglements and many missed grabs. I have utmost RESPECT for those guys that FREEDIVE for the bugs in those conditions!

Surprisingly, when we were getting our tanks filled at Dive N Surf, we were told to look at the latest edition of the EASY READER. On the front cover was a picture of our Lobster Catch from Opening Night. Inside along with the story were some references of my history with the Lobster Mobster Contest. Kind of cool. (LOL) Story can be found at www.easyreader.com.

that is super cool! I'm jealous, I need to get out there. Hard to dive when I can surf though!

With all that kelp and darkness, I probably wouldn't have been able to see them if they were there!

I hit it when the C-bass were in the inside, but PV dives are quite expensive for me. $40 PV vs. $8 Laguna.

You'll spend that in parking in Laguna

How does it cost you $40 to get to PV from HB? Does your car have a serious gas leak? Or do you drop a 20 as an offering to the wsb gods?

Maybe that's the money he spends renting a shark shield so that 14 foot leopard sharks don't eat him.
