wet suit thickness
I live in PSL Fl, I have a 3mm now use it almost all year except when its real hot then its just shorts and a long sleve shirt. I dove a few times last winter and it was cold. 56* was the lowest I remember when the thermo was here. Will a 5mm or 7mm be best. I've seen the 7mm body 5mm arm/leg combos before too.

Re: wet suit thickness
I'm in NJ and use a 5mm.
In the summer time the water gets into the low 70, but mostly remains in the 60-Range. I dont' dive now (Winter) because the water isn't that clear with all the storms. But I do occasionally surf and the 5mm with boots/gloves seems fine to me. |

Re: wet suit thickness
sounds like if you wore 3mm in 56, you'll be ok with 5mm...i use 3mm from mid 60s up...without a hood in 60s i will get cold, with a hood i am perfect, it makes a big difference. I don't like the extra bulk of thicker suit & more weight unless really need it.
