Dive Today Solag (1-02-2011)
Amidst tonsilitis, an ear infection (yes it spread and I'm going to the doctor this week), bad vis, cold, and 5 sleep in the past 2 days, I dove South Laguna with Dennis today (dmay).
Scrounged up a limit of scallops, saw some decent-sized fish (half-hearted scouting mission), and all of the lobsters were DEEP in their holes. Vis: 3-6' and green Temp: Freezing Swell: None If you didn't get out, you missed your window. . Took along a picture of sunny Las Arenas to cheer me up.

so whats the deal with the scallops are they seasonal is their a size restriction or limit, whats the rules i cant find the regs

limit is 10. No season, no size limit. The smaller ones aren't worth it. If you're shore-based, look carefully before you go after them, because there are certain depth restrictions, and DFG wardens don't believe our stories. If you are in a boat or kayak, you are good almost anywhere, but still double check.
