Speargun for sale:

Hey All,
I found the attached ad on a freediver websiteIf the gun were Brand new the gun is worth $570. Since he is in the area for most of you guys, perhaps somebody would want to take a look at it. I don't know though, I am personally not too fond of rear handle guns. This is the description of the gun:

Picasso Carbono 120cm
Carbon fibre barrel, filled with reinforcing foam. Very lightweight and flex resistant Fitted with stainless 6.5mm shaft, gun bungee, braided shark clip on the handle and Picasso monofilament spear line.

Here is the ad:

FOR SALE: Picasso Century Carbono Speargun 120cm. $300. Used 3 times. Reel and spectra line optional, add $50. Line is on the reel, fully rigged, ready to shoot! Gun works perfect, must sell -- was too long for my short arms.

Charleston,
they aren't the "Same" spearguns:
although they have the same exact triggering mechanism, carbon fiber barrel, foam filling, and spear, fire the same way and range, they aren't the same spearguns. One is a picasso, the other is some other name.

Think about it, remember how much more expensive those shirts were when we were kids if they had that little alligator on it?

Good Find Charleston.

Hector

BTW: How is it cocking a large gun like that with a rear-mounted handle?

Those 20 mm Megatone bands are a sonofabitch to load!!
I plan on using mine to freedive on some weedlines offshore this year. Riffe makes a great replacement shaft for the euro guns. Much better quality with shark fin tabs like the standard riffe shafts.
www.piratescuba.com carries them

Well it is a bitch to pull on these 20mm bands. Essentially, you have to put the but on your sternum (you need a loading pad) and pull. I am 6'1" and I can barely reach for my Rob Allen 120cm.
Anyway, these Picasso guns go for less than $200 in Europe. $300 is still a ripoff, especially for a used gun.
