New suit question?
I'M looking for a cold weather suit for off ponce. i have heard the bottum temp gets in the 55 range. im going to be looking at somthing to work well in the 110ft depth range. i just didn't know if i should look at a 5mm or 8mm. i have a hook up on xcel wet suits so let me know what you think of them.
and if anyone saw my cross your fingers post for me to go out last weekend. yeh i still did not get wet! |

Re: New suit question?
Just an FYI all pinnacle is on sale at divegearexpress.com a lot of the sizes are gone, but you may get lucky. 3-7mm all merino lined are around 200 bux.

Re: New suit question?
I've got a xcel 5-4-3, great wetsuit but not good enough for 55*. Go with a warmer one for winter.

Re: New suit question?
I dive year round in a 3ml outta sebastian...think you'll be fine for now, just shoot a lot of fish and keep active, summertime is usually the coldest temps on bottom, but 90 degrees on topside.

Re: New suit question?
I heard Pinnacle is out of business. Rumor has it Zeagle purchased them and then when it came time to close they screwed Pinnacle and didn't pay. Keep in mind this is what I heard and I have not been able to confirm it's validity. I know Zeagles are spearoes so maybe they will chime in and explain the deal on here for you all?
I mention this because although the Pinnacle wetsuits with merino wool are the warmest wetsuits I have ever worn, Including Henderson, etc... They have had problems with their zippers breaking. Their customer service was as good as it gets and they always fixed them very quickly. Now with what's potentially happened this may be a serious issue when purchasing a Pinnacle wetsuit. |
