How far are you willing to travel and/or what equipment are you looking for? You are likely aware of Freedive shop in Sacramento: http://www.freediveshop.com/contact_us.php . This is a web site that could help in your search: http://www.diveshops.com/

Re: Looking for a dive shop for free divers... Help!
If we needed any gear on the way to the water, we would stop off at Bodega Bay Dive shop. I heard that it recently changed ownership and the website is under construction, but the type of gear should remain the same as the store lies in the area where free divers operate and they should still cater to that clientele. As I try to reduce my risk in not having the required gear prior to making the 6.5 hour drive and assure I am outfitted prior to departure, I know which shops in the Santa Barbara area support free divers, but not in the Bay Area. I hope you find what you are looking for.
Have you any need for some Picasso Teams in 46-48? |

Regarding the fins, I believe the fins are for feet >= 12. I suppose this footpocket could accomdate a <=12 foot while using a 5mm or 7mm sock. The reason I am selling the fins is because the pockets are too tight for my foot, even when using a 3mm sock. I tried the fins out in a pool for about an hour of holding my breath (out and back) laps. When I finished, my feet were numb for about an hour. Good luck in your search for gear. Road trips with your son for such items create lasting memories for your kids. |

Re: Looking for a dive shop for free divers... Help!
i second bodega bay pro dive shop. 1275 California 1, Bodega Bay, CA 94923 (707) 875-3054 great little shop, great service, great gear, and it's on the way to the abalone grounds! however, it's a small store and may not have every size of suit or fin in every brand. i'd call them to find out. but this store is always my first choice
there's also Petaluma Sport Shop & Dive @ 884 Bodega Ave # 3, Petaluma, CA 94952-5727 (707) 763-0930 This is a larger store that has free dive abalone gear, but i don't remember ever seeing them carry cressi or hammerhead or omer etc type gear. more generic type stuff. they also have fishing gear and crab nets. i also know there is a big free dive shop in san jose but i can't remember the name of it... i'm sure a google search would find it. |

Got you covered with any freediving gear you may need. My name is Scott Reznicek and I'm the manager at North Coast Dive Shop. The shop used to be Bodega Bay ProDive but since then it's changed ownership but we're in the same location. Our new number is 707-377-4179 or you can call my cell 650-464-0810. Let me know if I can help you with anything.
