That's chutzpah.......
Sarah “Bailin'” Palin Attacks Wisconsin Democrats For Having “Retreated” And “Not Doing Their Job”
After quitting her own governorship halfway through the first term, some might say Sarah Palin was in no position to be criticizing Democratic Wisconsin state senators for having "retreated" and “not doing their job” by leaving the state in protest of their governor's anti-union bill. But Fox News host Jeanine Pirro would not be one of those noting the irony of Palin's position. In fact, Pirro invited Palin's criticisms during their segment on Justice with Judge Jeanine Saturday night, 3/5/11. “Yeah, they absolutely should be fired. They should be recalled,” Palin told Pirro, about the missing senators. “They've retreated. It's not like they're reloading. They've retreated. They're not doing their job.” But instead of noting that Palin “retreated” from her own job, Pirro approvingly said that Palin must understand what Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker “is going through.” Then Pirro went on to ask, “If your legislators left the legislature in Alaska, would you be hunting them down?” You mean during the half term Palin actually served, Judge? “You know, you do need to call 'em back!” Palin squealed. “And get 'em to be held accountable and have 'em do their job.” Good to know Palin believes in accountability and doing one's job – for other people. http://www.newshounds.us/2011/03/07/..._their_job.php

Re: That's chutzpah.......
You do understand the difference between resigning from an office and simply running away from your sworn responsibilities don't you...????

Re: That's chutzpah.......
I don't have an opinion on those senators yet...haven't really paid enough attention to that story.
Sarah Palin quit though...well, she resigned, which is the same damn thing. She knew what could happen because she was a public figure, and she bailed. She is useless in the world of politics and political news. If she was unattractive, she would have been forgotten already and Fox never would have hired her. |

Re: That's chutzpah.......
Are yuou ****ing kidding chuam?
How is there a comparison between QUITTING and allowing someone to take your place, which is what S.P. did, and intentionally hiding and refusing to do your job with the express intent of paralyzing the government? When Palin quit, she allowed the government of her state to function. When the Dem senators in wisconsin ran away like a bunch of crybaby bitches, they did so in a manner of intentionally disableing the entire state government. Think about the precident that sets... Say in 10 years the dems take a majority of control over the senate in wisconsin, what is to stop the republicans from simply hiding out and refusing to show up so that not a single bill could be passed until the next election, and then the election after that, until they got a majority back? If they didn't want to play and resigned, at least they would have some integrity - that is what Palin did. There is NO comparison here. Palin had the integrity to resign to allow her state's government to function. The dems in wisconsin played the typical dem/lib whiney crybaby card and instead of trying to change the system or debate like big boy adults, took their ball and went home because they were losing the game. ****ing pathetic, and to be honest, 100 percent demonstrative of the liberal attitude. Guido nailed it: They ran like little bitches from their sworn duty. If they didn't like the way things were going and they had the slightest bit of integrity, they would have resigned in protest, not run like the bunch of cowards they are. If you can't tell the difference you've got serious problems with reality. |

Re: That's chutzpah.......
Ralph, I think Palin quit so she could make more money. Maybe she wants to make more money so she can better afford a run at being president, but she still quit....which really was better for the people of Alaska. She was a piss poor mayor who enlarged her towns debt by million and millions of dollars (but she cut taxes and made people feel all warm and happy)...she was an ignorant governor...she did cut a lot of spending, but then did useless spending in other places...she has a book talking about her being a rogue, yet she fired people that worked for her because they weren't team players and were going "rogue." She does that stupid crap where she supports women because they're women...I hate that crap when people support people because of some genetic similarity.
Worst of all...she is a piss poor hunter....look at her carry a weapon...you can tell she only carries a weapon if there is a photo op...yet she talks about it like she spends every free moment out there...yeah...hunting from a chopper is tough work... She is no more suited to run this county than our current president. |

Re: That's chutzpah.......
Whether you agree with the Democratic senators or not, they left their state because it was the only way for them to "vote" on the ideal they believed they were elected to support.
Palin, on the other hand, left her post because she saw greener pastures in the national scene and wanted the money that such a position might offer her. No ideal, no political standpoint, nothing...pure disregard for her voting public for the benefit of her own self interest. As for the Wisconsin Senators actions....well, did Walker campaign by saying that he would be union-busting? Did he campaign by saying he would be eliminating collective bargaining rights? NO! He was supposed to fix the financial crisis, the unions have caved and given him his financial demands, but he wants more. If it was his intention to do this from the beginning, he should have said so...and let the votes fall where they may. But now he wants to pull the old bait and switch--insist that these are the things he was elected to do and get mad at the portion of the population that doesn't agree with him. I might not agree with the political position of the Democratic senators, but they're casting their "votes" in the only way they can...taking the fines and risking their political future because they really believe what they're doing is important. Call me whatever you want, but there is a certain level of integrity that goes along with such an action. (And as for completely stalling the whole government...do a little research before you speak authoritatively on issues. Only a select number of issues require the majority vote that this union bill does. There are numerous other things the legislature has been doing that don't require these senators to be there. The government is hardly stalled in its tracks.) In terms of these Dems vs. Palin, no comparison. One is entirely self interested, the other stands for an ideal and is willing to do what it takes to support it. Personally, I respect people who stand behind what they believe in, even if I disagree with their beliefs. Marcus is a good example...call him whatever you like, but he stands behind what he believe in. On the other hand, someone who compromises their ideals when it suits their personal interests...they get no respect from me, they deserve none. Palin is IMHO pathetic...a vapid one trick pony designed to appeal to simpletons who think a bunch of quirky sayings and a jubilant naivete are what it takes to solve this country's problems. She offers absolutely nothing except other people's talking points and shallow political analysis.

Palin is all symbolism with no substance. I'd still let her honk bobo though.

Re: That's chutzpah.......
I just love how the Dems hate her so freakin much...
The state boys abandoned their post, she is right...If any of you left your job like that how long would your company pay you and keep you employed. I am not a huge Palin fan, but I do think she is smokin hot...

Re: That's chutzpah.......
it's fair to criticize her for resigning. that's utterly irrelevant to these senators running away & refusing to do their jobs.
