Future & Present Gun builders

I am starting a new gun project and have been getting a few tools ready for the process. I came across this used (but never used) mortise machine at a great price. If anyone needs to run it for trigger mechs or anything else. Shoot me a Pm, Ventura area.

Re: Future & Present Gun builders

i just got back form the shop to scope this old ab biller trigger mech they had laying around... it fits a riffe shaft perfect ! but as i started tabbing it all up in my head i realized this is not making your "own gun"...no no

so i just might take you up on this offer.. i have a hookup on stainless steel shaft blanks... at least i think they would work as blanks... i just dont have any means to make the little sharkfins on it.. i'm sure i could figure out the notching for the release...

anybody down for a build party?

mortise tools are very handy for cutting square slots..you can also buy a compact mortise frame and various size bits that fit the chuck on your drill press...when finished, just throw them in a drawer..this eliminates having another machine taking up space on your bench and is cheaper than buying the motorized machine..
