Which cooler do you like?
Are there any pro's or con's to either one?

OK. Price is big factor. The Walmart special will win every time if that is the only thing to consider. I shouldn't have even put it in the poll since it doesn't even come close to the quality of a commercial cooler.
Can I get a Mod to delete the "Walmart Special" option? I'm looking for Price vs. Value vs. Quality etc... Something in the 270qt range.

So is the Icey-tek more durable? keeps ice longer? or is it just a personal preference?

I have the Icey-Tek 270L, and love it. For the price you can't beat it.
How they hold ice is a realitive term. The more you open the lid, the faster the ice melts. We put all of our ice into onion bags and then load it into the cooler. This way it is easy to move the ice around and we are only keeping one box cold. Which ever cooler you decide on I would not recommend trying to move it very far when it is full. How much room do you have in the bow of your boat? I have mine set up like a coffin box in my bow and there is plenty of room to get around it. Last edited by Big Pig; 10-07-2004 at 08:46 PM. |

Yea
I was talking to the guy to try to get them to be a sponsor for this years St Pete Open, and he requested some pics for the web site. Turns out that one of the Austrialian owners is a big time spearo and they all got off on the video of last years weighin. |
