I agree. Presidents get way too much credit or blame for the economy in their own time. In reality, it takes a long time for policy to work its way out, and the prez really doesn't operate the big control levers. Cyclical trends have a lot more to do with it. But everybody loves to fix all the blame on the other party.

I do think that a lot of Obama's policy has been completely wrong-headed from the start. If nothing else, just the uncertainty that has been created has been a big drag on the economy. But the previous caesar was no economic genius, either.

The above cartoon is not a serious discussion. But it is funny. And not so far off the mark, IMHO.

True enough, but he shouldn't be spending us into trillions more debt with a guvmint 'stimulus'.

BULLSHIT!!!!! Obama is one of the major factors why our economy is dying. The extorting of the bondholders and shareholders of GM, forcing them to give up the value of their bonds and shares is something that Obama personally did. By threatening these people, using the office and the power of the president of the United States to force people to give away their money so that they UAW could take over GM is one of the major reasons why our economy is in this shape its in.

NO Business..no one in their right mind is going to invest a dime of their money into any kind of business in this country until the Democrats and Obama are reigned in and brought under control.

This is why businesses are not and will not hire or invest in the US as long as Obama is president.

Second Obamacare established big brother government in this country....no business will invest money in anything until this is ruled unconstitutional.

Third financial regulatory reform is layering all kind of new big brother big government regulations upon businesses.

Obama and the Democratic Party are screwing businesses every day in every way they can.

Obama is fully responsible for the destruction of the economy of the United States.
