Talking Cuttlefish design may be the winner..

After searching reviews and asking you guys for opinions between mako and omer....i have decided to make my choice the omer cayman hf camu 3d....ive heard great things, and find the design very appealing and hydrodynamic...i hope to purchase it before the tourny on the 16th...and look forward to writing a review

we all have different likes. im sure it as good as most out there. Ive heard a lot of good reports about Omer caymen. i had the oceanic t20 and i liked it. and the JBL's, heck even a little bandito. Theyre all fun! if it does the job then its a good gun! lol Enjoy and keep us posted! Dive safe Tony and LJ

Re: Cuttlefish design may be the winner..

Ok guys... As some of you know, i have purchased the omer cayman hf recently, and i said i would write a short review.. First i would like to state the pros---- the gun looks great, and the tracking in my opinion isnt bad. The stock single band had enough power to make a good kill shot from around 10-12 ft....plus the almost complete nuetral bouyancy with the shaft still in makes it very easy to handle underwater....
Now the cons----the loop of mono at the rear of the shaft (after every shot) always seems to flip to the wrong side of the shaft when tryin to reload.. The safety switch is extremely small and hard to activate even without gloves...
Overall i am pleased with the cayman, esp since its my first gun...the only changes i want to make is to add another band ( most likely a 16 mill ) for shorter shots under the ledges...and then i could obviously double up when making farther shots...If i can think up a way to keep that mono loop folding back in its rightfull place then it would make for
a faster reload...for all you seasoned vets i am probly rambling on lol, but maybe this could help another newcomer help weed through possible gun choices! And i appreciate everyones opinions thus far...tks again

Flip the mono over to the top of the shaft then pull it tight and hold it in the same hand that you're holding the shaft in. It becomes second nature, you won't even think about it.
