Islamorada Lobster Mini Season

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could give me some tips for lobster mini season on any spot around Islamorada. I am going down with the family and for most of them its the first time going down there for mini season. I am not asking for a specific location (although that would be nice) but if you can point me in the right direction i would appreciate it a lot! lobster are everywhere, stick to shallow reef, it will make it easier for first timers.....

I've only been to the keys once and we just ran the grass flats. You can get some decent ones on the edges. It's easy fishing.. I heard from some people that the shallow reefs
Farther out arent bad sometimes... Good luck!

This may be a dumb question but I know that to spearfish in Islamorada you have to be 3 miles out... Does this count for lobster hunting as well? and also I was looking over at some charts and are places like Cheeca Rocks and Hen and Chicken reefs off limits when it comes to lobster hunting? Sorry to bother I just dont want to get in trouble!

Alot of "advice" but lack of knowledge is not a defense for diving (spearing/lobstering) in the sanctuary.
I personally don't dive that far up in the Keys. Can't give you "expert advice".
