Re: Anyone dive OC today?

I drove the coast on the water yesterday. So. Laguna down to San Mateo was pretty dirty inside. Outside at the domes to the Barn was ok, the inside was murky. Central Laguna, Cress st. looked ok, and better on the rising tide at 3-4 pm. Crystal cove had better vis, as did the north Laguna area. CC looked to have some blue in the water, as well as 65.2 water. Not bad at all.

I dove North Laguna sundown yesterday;

5-8ft on inside were current was ripping, but out past 20ft the vis was decent with 10-15ft vis hazy 20ft... Just hard to judge because it was pretty dark out there.

I was happy to see that the sandbass were back and shot a nice one, water felt 62*, saw a few small YT.

Yepp.... Oh man it was gorgeous. 30+ in some parts on the upcurrent side. This in about 25-45 feet of water. CRYSTAL COVE. Dive this late afternoon incoming this week in the PM, it should continue to be nice.

Lemme know if you wouldn't mind someone tagging along. I never dove there but would like to.

Re: Anyone dive OC today?

Thanks for all the feedback guys. At this point it would be better for me if the conditions sucked because I can't get out! I will though at the first chance I get. I'll be throwing some more video together soon too. Should be pretty cool.

Re: Anyone dive OC today?

If it makes you feel better, I went to shaws cove today since a friend of mine is getting into the sport, and I wanted a place I could show him the basics. We got there at about 530pm and the surf was getting big, surge was really heavy, and vis was under 8' with some spots less than 4'
