Solyndra Version 2.0

Todays announcement by the Dumbhouse is that the administration approved another 1 BILLION in loans to two solar companys.
Energy Secretant Steven Chu said theses loans will help these companys create another 52 jobs at a cost of only 20.6 million dollars per job.

I refuse to pay for this blatant theft of my tax dollars. I hereby declare that everyone who voted Democrat has to pay an extra 10% income tax to cover this theft of money.

Typical that someone who doesn't work would expect those that do to pay the bills. Damn parasite.

i own my own business, one that is successful and growing, one that hasn't failed like yours. Only a loser would blame a president for the failure of his own business. Not only do I pay income and payroll taxes but I also pay employees who pay taxes. You see I create jobs unlike you who likes to claim he is things he is not. You aren't a Republican you are a leech.

Successful business models don't need corporate welfare. Taking taxpayer money to fund non-profitable businesses is dumb. Central planning has and will always fail...and this is what it is.

If it was economically viable and sustainable I would agree.....but its not, by a long shot.....
I checked into it.....the payback on my house would have been over 80 years....do you think the solar system they installed would last that long?????

Its a scam, set up like a version of the Dot Com bubble/scam. Do nothing companies that have no sales, no profits will be taken public. Their stocks will be sold for a huge amount of money and driven up as the Democrats pump huge amounts of taxpayer dollars into these green energy companies.

Wall Street and Venture Capital and other insiders will sell all their huge amounts of shares in these companies as soon as they can. Then a few months later the whole green energy business will collapse and those that will be left holding the bag?

Those middle class people who fell for this scam and bought up all that stock that Wall Street, Venture Capital and other insiders dumped all because the TV told them that Green Energy was the next greatest thing.

This is the real Green Energy business.

How many times are people going to fall for these scams, this is the third one all Clinton's who started them all.

Well they say there is a fool born every minute. There are sure a whole lot of them living in the United States. I bet most of them own stock in a Green company hoping to make a killing.

Is that why China's HEAVILY subsidized solar companies are putting ours out of business? Because they didn't take government dollars... oh wait.

Do you think that's a good business model? Central planners deciding who wins or loses?
I don't agree with what China is doing either. If you have an issue with them putting us out of business, maybe you should attack the alleged free trade agreements that are making this possible.

China is a completely different world, with different problems. China's major problem is a huge population leaving the farm and moving to the cities hoping to find steady work.

The Chinese government is desperate to keep these people happy and are terrified of these people rising up and over throwing the government.

The Chinese government will do and subsidies anything to keep these people working. The country is getting close to real problems as the government gives banks free money which then makes loans that can never and will never be paid back.

China is doing a dance between freedom, capitalism and communism.

My son spent the summer in China, part of the time teaching English part of the time talking to the multinational companies about work. He graduates college this coming spring and has several offers from these companies.

Re: Solyndra Version 2.0

Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law is given $737 million dollars of taxpayers' money

"Nancy Pelosi is facing accusations of cronyism after a solar energy project, which her brother-in-law has a stake in, landed a $737 million loan guarantee from the Department of Energy, despite the growing Solyndra scandal.

The massive loan agreement is raising new concerns about the use of taxpayers' money as vast sums are invested in technology similar to that of the doomed energy project.

The investment has intensified the debate over the effectiveness of solar energy as a major power source.

The SolarReserve project is backed by an energy investment fund where the Minority Leader's brother-in-law Ronald Pelosi is second in command.
PCG Clean Energy & Technology Fund (East) LLC is listed as one of the investors in the project that has been given the staggering loan, which even dwarfs that given to failed company Solyndra...."

NO...that's NOT what "government does". At least not the government Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, etc, etc created.
Perhaps this is what Obama meant when he said he would fundamentally transform America....???

This needs to be a separate thread to show just how corrupt the Democratic Party is and to get comments from those that support them.

Marcus do you want to start the thread or do you wish me to do it.
