 What is up with Cain??! He gets caught lying about sexual harassment, lying about payoffs, so then he thinks he can fix it by breaking out in a gospel song about how Jesus loves him during a press conference! WTH?  I'm really starting to think the guy is pulling everyone's leg.

Harvester, I am so glad that you opened your eyes and ears. If more people don't, this country is headed for a world of hurt. People please... start listening and HEARING. Ron Paul is the way to go if we want to keep our freedoms and our constitutional rights. We have been slowly losing them and the sad thing is that we all have not been paying attention. Alot of people sit back and hear what they want to hear. We need to hear THE truth!.... Glad to hear that you are on board. Help someone else to know about Ron Paul.

I have been a life long Democrat and I voted for Obama. I'm NOT convinced that Ron Paul is some kind of savior. I do not agree with his stance on public education or his strict isolationist tendencies. I definitely don't think we can continue to ignore Iran.
However, Obama has been an incredible disappointment, he said the right stuff, but his execution has been horrible and indefensible. I am unimpressed with any of the republican candidates. I am VERY concerned that this country is on the verge on serious problems and I am absolutely convinced that MAJOR changes are required if we hope to avoid a disaster. As of right now RP seems to be the only candidate that is different enough to make any change and it seems that he has been pretty consistent in his message. If (pretty unlikely) he gets elected, some of his more radical ideas will be seriously constrained by the legislature, so some of his rhetoric is not quite so scary to me. Marcus informed me that IF I should decide to hold my nose and vote for RP, it is essential that I change my party affiliation NOW so as to be eligible to vote for him in the primary. I think my wife still doesn't believe that I am a registered republican right now. In my mind, Obama is going to be on the ticket for the democrats and even if, for some unforeseen reason I would have to vote for him again in the general election, it does me ZERO GOOD to retain my democratic party affiliation right now. Even if there is only a small chance that I will eventually be convinced that RP is the best choice next year, I have to make the decision to change parties RIGHT NOW to be eligible to vote for him in the primaries. I wonder if other democrats (who are residents of states with closed primaries) who are "unhappy" can be made to realize that they loose nothing to change their party right now.. just in case it matters next year? |
