Re: Otter in Laguna

from the comment section:

Brad Hunt · Monterey Institute of International Studies
Eunfa Lee - they are based on very good science actually. Anglers will eventually be huge beneficiaries of MPAs as fish populations have a chance to rebound and eventually numbers increase in and around MPAs. Also, how are divers forced out of MPAs? Recreational divers are not. Commercial divers are if a certain species is not allowed to be taken. Also, not all MPAs restrict recreational fishing. You should look at the regulations before you speak about things you do not know about. Reserves are No Take and Conservation Areas have restrictions. check it out for yourself - http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/pdfs/sc_regulations.pdf

well, i guess that settles that. we do not know what we speak about.

Dude! That was one a brilliant response regarding the MLPA. Odds are B. Hunt is gonna overlook it but definitely provides some good reading for others who aren't so familiar with the "process".
